Bio

When one is born into the Hades family, a family infamous for its lifestyle of crime and destruction, there are only two real options: live up to expectations or suffer for it. One brother chose the latter, but this isn't his story (that would be for another novel and a different author). This is the story of the middle child, Phlegethon, named for the river of boiling blood in Hell into which the wrathful are cast to receive their punishment for their sins.

This is the story of a boy who learned not to feel, a boy who tried to kill his youngest brother before said brother could even walk, a boy who never learned to fly.

This is the story of a young man who never stopped trying to make himself into more than he was, a young man who never stopped wanting to run away.

And this is the story of a man who learned he could lie about love with hardly any effort, but that not even he could escape second thoughts.

In short, this is the story of Phlegethon Hades, destroyer of worlds, shatterer of hearts, and taker of candy from cute little babies.

Also known as [info]peridium's 2007 NaNoWriMo project.

(The most basic original concept of the Hades family is Jasper Fforde's, in his Thursday Next novels. However, most of the ideas contained in this novel belong to me; the family's background is patched together from canon created by [info]lyotto, [info]blindmadness, [info]salophile, [info]dizmo, and [info]soloecal. Have a good day.)

Oh yes, and the man in the icons is Stuart Townsend. The lyrics used in the layout are from Franz Ferdinand's "This Fire."
